The Malaysia Global Business Forum (MGBF) has recently expanded its consultancy offering to assist international companies exploring the possibility of expanding their business into Malaysia. MGBF will continue to assist Malaysian SME’s in their expansion into different markets both regionally and globally as the push by the government to develop this important part of the economy continues.

According to Bloomberg, “Malaysia advanced for the first time into a top 10 ranking of nations the World Bank deems friendliest to businesses” the country moved into 6th position, this on the back of improvements in procedures for registering a company, construction permits and securing electricity supply. While the World Bank’s 2014 “Doing Business” report uses different criteria from those used in the World Economic Forum’s global competitiveness index, which accounts for macroeconomic stability and the level of public debt, it is clear to see that the reforms being put in place by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak are starting to take effect.
