The Malaysian property developer KSK Land Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of KSK Group Berhad, has joined the ‘fight’ against COVID-19 by providing hospital frontliners with over 500 bottles of hand sanitiser and 20,000 surgical masks.
Known for its flagship development 8 Conlay, KSK Land delivered in-demand medical supplies to University of Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur last week as part of their drive to assist frontliners during this unprecedented global situation.
“The past few months have been a challenging time for thousands around the world, especially for the nurses and doctors working tirelessly on the frontline here in Malaysia. We simply cannot imagine the sacrifices and stress they face on a daily basis. They are truly our national heroes, and we hope that our humble contribution will help make their jobs safer for the days ahead,” said Joanne Kua, Chief Executive Officer of KSK Group and Managing Director of KSK Land.
“Hospital Kuala Lumpur is incredibly grateful for KSK Land’s generosity in supporting our medical needs. Such support is one of many efforts we have seen from the community coming together during this difficult time”, said Datuk Dr. Heric Corray, Director of Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
Yahaya bin A. Hamid, Head of Department of University of Malaya Medical Centre, shared similar sentiments, stating “Our frontliners are doing their best to serve patients during this COVID-19 outbreak, and it’s important for us to have sufficient medical essentials to ensure the wellbeing of our dedicated staff. We thank KSK Land for providing us the support to ensure our hospital is well equipped to serve the community.”
As a responsible corporate citizen, KSK Land will continue to play an active role in the fight against COVID-19. In addition to contributing in-demand medical essentials, the property developer proactively advocates for social distancing and proper precautions internally. While its offices and sales gallery remain temporarily closed during Malaysia’s partial lockdown, the staff at KSK Land are working remotely and staying connected through daily digital check-ins and weekly virtual knowledge sharing sessions – a hallmark of KSK Land’s agile culture.
