Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM), or Malaysian Professional Center, is organising the Environmental, Social, and Governance Seminar (ESG), 51st Annual General Meeting, and Annual Dinner on July 24, 2024.
According to Prof. ChM Dr. Juan Joon Ching, President of BIM, this ESG program aims to provide exposure to the importance of ESG to professionals, especially those interested in BIM. This program is a component of Madani society, as initiated through Malaysia Madani. The six principles outlined, namely sustainability, well-being, creativity, respect, confidence, and courtesy, can, of course, be put into practice quite effectively.
The BIM Annual Dinner was officiated by the representative of YB Tuan Adly bin Zahari, Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Mohamad Ammar bin Atan, Special Duties Officer who also presented the BIM awards to outstanding professionals in the professional body. The BIM Professional Excellence Award was awarded to Datin Paduka Setia Dato’ Dr. Aini Ideris from (MAVMA), Ar. Dr. Tan Loke Mun from (PAM) and TPr. Ts. Norliza Hashim (MIP). Meanwhile the BIM Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Datuk Seri Paduka (Dr.) TPr. Maimunah Mohd Sharif (MIP) and Sr. Dr. Ong See Lian (RISM). The presentation of the BIM awards was witnessed by YB Tuan Abbas Salimmi bin Che Adzmi, Member of the Seri Serdang State Assembly.
