Klang: 2 December 2021 – In a cheque presentation ceremony today at Akademi Kenegaraan, Kementerian Belia Dan Sukan, Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (SKSMC) sponsored RM20,000 to Nur Athirah binti Bidin for her upcoming IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Amateur ) World Muaythai Championships 2021 in Phuket, Thailand from December 3rd to 12th.

“Thank you Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre for the generosity and kind-hearted contribution for Athirah, and I hope that this will continue between both sides towards nation-building,” said YB Dato Seri Ahmad Faizal Bin Azumu, Minister of Youth and Sports, who also witnessed the presentation ceremony.
“As a caring corporate citizen, SKSMC is pleased to assist Nur Athirah, a gifted athlete to achieve her aspirations. The sponsorship will enable her travel expenses and assist obtain the required tools to compete in the IFMA world championship.
It is also an honour and privilege for SKSMC to have Athirah serve as our young ambassador to reach out and motivate youths to achieve their dreams through Muaythai and fitness in general,” said Emily Lim, Operations Manager SKSMC.
Nur Athirah, who will be representing Malaysia in the upcoming IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Amateur) World Muaythai Championships 2021 in Phuket, Thailand.
“This is truly a dream come true, and my sincere thank you to SKSMC for sponsoring my travel and other needs to contest in Bangkok. I equally look forward to being the ambassador to encourage youths and teens to be Muaythai athletes.
The sport keeps the body healthy, and can improve our mental health to cope with growing challenges,” said Nur Athirah.
The benefits of sports greatly helps in physical and mental health. Empowering youths through sports is an important tool to place teens and youths in the forefront to promote personal well- being for positive social change in the society, and effective capacity building.
